Both Albutrix and dietary protein intake are based on lean body weight.
We recommend 50% of protein intake from diet and 50% from Albutrix. For our calculation purposes, each Albutrix pill is assumed to represent 5 grams of dietary protein.
The calculation is as follows:
Lean body weight (Ideal weight or weight at body mass index of 23) in kilograms multiplied by .8 grams of protein.
For example, a 75 kilogram person needs 60 grams of protein per day (75 * .8) equals grams of total protein per day.
Our goal would be 30 grams from dietary intake and 30 grams from Albutrix or six Albutrix pills per day.
For pounds, the calculation is lean body weight (Ideal weight or weight at body mass index of 23) in pounds multiplied by .36 for total protein intake.
Using the same 75 kg or 165 lb adult, 165 x .36 = 59.4 rounded up to 60 grams of total protein.
30 grams from dietary intake and 30 grams from Albutrix or six Albutrix pills per day.
Online body mass index calculators can help you determine your ideal or lean weight using a body mass index of 23.
